IBM GSA names new managing director

An 18-year IBMer, Colleen Arnold is to be the new managing director of IBM Global Services Australia and New Zealand, the company announced yesterday. She takes over from Ed Kilroy who moves to the US to take up a new position with IBM Global Services.

Scheduled to arrive in Australia from the US next week to take up her new post, Arnold was most recently general manager, global year 2000 and distribution sector, IBM Global Services.

In addition, she oversaw delivery of outsourcing and systems integration services to retail, distribution and computer services customers, and held global responsibility for IBM Global Services' travel and transport solutions.

Announcing the new appointment, Frank Amoroso, general manager of IBM Global Services, Asia Pacific, praised Ed Kilroy's contribution to IBM GSA.

"Under his guidance we have continued to build on our leadership position in Australia, including winning a number of strategic deals over the last couple of years such as Cable & Wireless Optus, Ansett Australia, Lend Lease, NRMA and Vic Police," Amoroso said.
