Perth-based IT service provider ASG Group has won a $2.2 million contract with the federal Department of Finance and Administration (DOFA).
The company won the deal following its acquisition of Exceed Systems Integration and is part of DOFA's core infrastructure upgrade project.
Under the deal, Exceed Systems will replace the department's existing e-mail, file, print, management and directory services environment.
This is in addition to replacing the department's desktop and laptop standard operating environment (SOE) upgrading to a Microsoft application suite.
The contract includes a three year support clause with the option for a two year extension through to 2010.
ASG Group CEO Geoff Lewis said the bulk of the upgrade will be in place by early 2006.
