WA Government announces new Objective

The Western Australian government has added ECM provider Objective to its electronic document management systems (EDMS) supplier panel.

Under the contract, starting September 29 this year, Objective will join the three-member Common Use Arrangement (CUA) panel to supply WA government agencies with document management systems.

Objective CEO Tony Wells said it was selected after an exhaustive tender process, which ensured its solution complied with state, national and international standards to meet government regulatory demands.

"We [needed] to ensure that our products comply with various state, national and international standards for document management, recordkeeping and enterprise content management (ECM) as they emerged," Wells said.

The announcement follows a deal inked by Objective last week to provide WA Police with an ECM system.

WA Police superintendent Nigel White said more than 6000 staff will use the system.

Objective is listed on the South Australian, Victorian and NSW government supplier panels.
