ICT Eureka prize seeks entries

The Australian Museum is seeking entries for the 2002 Eureka Prize for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) innovation.

Sponsored by the Australian Computer Society, the $10,000 prize is a recent addition to Australia's premier national science award.

The ICT Eureka Prize will be awarded to an individual, team or organisation for outstanding innovation in the research, design, development or implementation of projects related to the ICT industry. The project must have been done by Australian residents and completed within the past five years.

It is anticipated that the winning entry will make a significant contribution to furthering the study, science and application of ICT.

Entries close Friday May 17 2002, with the winners announced in August.

Details and entry forms are available on the Australian Museum's Web site at http://www.amonline.net.au/eureka/.
