Outsourcing still on in VIC, as KAZ expands

Integrator KAZ Computer Services has expanded its outsourcing activities in Victoria by adding three new signings.

The IT outsourcing services provider signed contracts with North Forest Products, the Revenue Clearing House Group and Blockbuster Video.

Under the terms of the one year contract with North Forest Products (a subsidiary of North Broken Hill Limited which is owned by Rio Tinto Limited), KAZ will provide operations outsourcing and a national help desk function for all system user inquiries.

The Revenue Clearing House contract is for a term of five years to provide operations support, facilities management and a help desk function, while the three-year contract with Blockbuster sees KAZ provide operations support and facilities management.

Peter Kazacos, managing director for KAZ said: "The KAZ Melbourne IT Data Centre now has over 40 servers installed, which support over 3,000 remote users."

KAZ said including the new signings, the company had achieved a 150 per cent increase in the number of systems under their management in the past 12 months.

Major signings last year included new contracts totalling $70 million with AMP (in conjunction with the acquisition of Australian Administration Services), David Jones, the Reserve Bank of Australia, Givaudan, Food Service Associates, and a deal to develop a superannuation administration system for the Thai Government and three superannuation schemes run by the Thai Farmers Bank.
