Brennan kicks off 2010 with multi-million dollar Hotels deal

Signs major whole of business outsourcing contract with Rendezvous Hospitality Group

Brennan has secured a multi-million dollar, three-year outsourcing contract with Rendezvous Hospitality Group (RHG) to upgrade the hotels group’s aging legacy systems and move to a new networking, data hosting and servicing platform.

Under the deal, Brennan will install a private IP WAN for 15 of the Group’s hotels and migrate 17 of their sites to a centralised management environment.

The IT services provider will also provide managed onsite support, hardware/software procurement and voice and data connectivity.

Commenting on the deal, which is spread across Australia, NZ, Middle East and the Asia Pacific, RGH CEO, Iqbal Jumabhoy, said the upgrade to the Group’s IT infrastructure would allow it to provide a new range of services to its largely business customers.

"We have taken considerable care to properly understand what the business traveler is looking for in a hotel," Jumabhoy said in statement.

According to RHG’s website, the organisation is currently investing more than 147 million in its owned and leased properties to refurbish them to meet “new standards”.

Jumabhoy added that the partnership with Brennan replaced an existing relationship RHG had with a smaller IT provider, which “could no longer support the needs of the expanded hotels group.”

Commenting on its securing of the agreement with RHG, Brennan managing director Dave Stevens said in a statement it was “one of the most comprehensive deals we have seen.”

According to Stevens the project will take three months to remove the legacy systems then about six months to install the new software and property management systems.
