A look at the hot IT jobs and certifications around Australia this week

Two weeks on from the Budget, and we are still seeing the possibility of cut IT job hires in the public sector under a Liberal government. Add to that revelations of contractors fleeing the capital in search of private sector work, and you could almost be forgiven for thinking the Australian Government doesn't want to stimulate the industry.

If you aren't already up to your neck in cloud service roll-outs, here are the hot job picks this week:

Hot IT Certification

Various job indices have indicated that companies are mostly on the look-out for Project Managers, business analysts and developers for .NET and Java-based applications. We've covered some of the hottest certifications internationally for the IT industry, but if you're looking for something a little more useful on the local stage, we recommend taking a look at certifications suited specifically to the aforementioned career paths.

Among Microsoft's bevy of IT Professional certifications you can find a certification for Business Intelligence Developers, which is also offered in Australia by the likes of Excom Education.

For the programming side of things, there are plenty of Microsoft-certified .NET courses as well as Java programming training.
