ASG secures contract with VHA

The recently merged company renews its business with the IT service supplier

ASG Group (ASX:ASZ) has signed an up-to seven year deal with Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) for the supply of corporate IT support services.

The deal also has a provision for the company to provide additional project services as needed by VHA.

The agreement marks the continuation of ASG’s relationship with Hutchison, to which it has supplied services since 2006.

In an ASX statement ASG Group chief officer sales and strategic operations, Murray Rosa, said the contract represented a significant broadening of its relationship with VHA.

VHA chief technology officer, Andy Reeves, said it the company had decided to sign ASG based on its strong track record.

In related news, VHA has announced it will launch free standard voice calls in Australia between Vodafone and 3 users who have signed up to a post-paid cap of over $29 a month since 11 March.

In May, Hutchison reported that its merger with Vodafone had dramatically turned the company , saving it from a huge profit loss.

During the month, VHA signed a seven year outsourcing contract with Nokia Siemens for its network operations to include, service management for a number of key parts of VHA’s mobile network (core, transmission, and radio networks) and equipment supply for its core network.
