Prophecy wins US deal for basis2

Software company Prophecy International (ASX:PRO) has leveraged earlier wins to negotiate a deal to provide its revenue management suite to another US agency

Business software developer Prophecy International (ASX:PRO) has won a contract to supply its basis2 revenue management software to a US state department.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality will use basis2 to manage the fees it collects for services including recycling, storage tank provision and cleanups.

Prophecy recently signed a deal to supply basis2 for the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality, which was named as a significant factor in the selection decision by its Arizona counterpart.

The Oracle-based basis2 is used by organisations in Australia, Asia, the UK, the Middle East and the USA.

Chairman, Ed Reynolds, said that as a result of the recent wins, “Prophecy International is seeing interest from several revenue management organisations seeking to maximise revenues from operations with a new solution.”

PRO shares climbed 3.85 per cent during Wednesday's trading as a result of the announcement.

Prophecy's posted a 90.2 per cent slide in FY10 profit to $333,000, blaming much lower than expected revenue due to project delays.

But at the time, the company said it expected an implementation for Egypt's new Holding Company for Water and Waste to generate further basis2 sales in the Middle East, on top of the growth in the US.
