Huawei launches IDEOS X3 Android smartphone

The Huawei IDEOS X3 is exclusive to Vodafone

Huawei has released its newest smartphone, Huawei IDEOS X3, in Australia.

The handset will run on Google Android 2.3, dubbed ‘Gingerbread’, and supports the Chinese mobile provider’s Handset Over-the-Air and Online Upgrade (HOTA) solution, which according to the company enables users to receive quick and easy OS upgrades.

It has a 3.2 megapixel camera and a 3.2 inch capacitative multi-touchscreen, and comes with a range of Android apps.

Huawei claims its IDEOS X3 is the thinnest device on the market, with its width measuring at 11.2 mm.

Huawei IDEOS X3 will be exclusive to Vodafone and available at Vodafone outlets, Allphones, Australia Post, Big W, Coles, Crazy John’s, Dick Smith, Mo’s Mobiles and Woolworths.
