Aussie developer wins global gong

Local electronic purchasing developer Streamlink has warded off international competition to pick up a global award from IBM.

Streamlink's e-Procure won IBM's inaugural Beacon award for best transformation and integration solution, said managing director Martin Fisk. The awards were presented at IBM's global software partner conference, PartnerWorld, currently under way in San Diego.

"I think it will have a huge impact on our business," Fisk said.

Australian e-Procure customers include Coca Cola Amatil, the National Australia Bank and the Victorian Treasury Department.

Fisk said Streamlink was in the process of raising $12 million in capital, which would be used to assist the company with its overseas expansion plans. Asia is the first region in Streamlink's sights, followed by the US. Streamlink "will probably look at distribution arrangements" in the US, he said.

Another local developer, Somerset Systems, which was purchased by Candle Corporation last year, won a regional distinguished achievement award for its enterprise application integration services.
