Latrobe City Council in Melbourne has selected contract software management company, Open Windows, to provide end-to-end contract management solutions on the Windows Azure Cloud to replace its manual contract and tender processes.
The council went out to tender in July 2011 looking for a solution to streamline its processes, as more than 110 of its contracts — ranging from service, capital and consultancy contracts to quotes and expression of interests — are managed by a simple database.
The Open Windows Contract Lifecycle Management solution would provide a central repository of data and documents, as well as clear audit trail of all contract and tender activities.
Latrobe City Council chose Open Windows because of its proven track record within government organisations.
The solution will be rolled out in stages, with the initial phase to start with tender and contract management, and later stages to include the employment of grant management and capitals works in late 2012.
