CBA encompasses US in online trading

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has extended its online trading service to include US share trading.

The organisation already offers a 24-hour telephone trading service for investing in US shares.

The bank's retail stockbroking arm, Commonwealth Securities, will initially offer a service for stocks quoted on the New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq.

According to guidelines posted on the ComSec Website, in order to trade US shares online, users must comply with Internet Trading Rules and International Securities Rules.
