ATO, Datacom sign $32.5 million contact centre contract

Four-year contract follows Datacom deals with ACCC and DIAC

With tax season approaching, the Australian Tax Office (ATO) awarded Datacom a $32.5 million, four-year contract for contact centre services.

ATO had named Datacom to its outsource contact centre services panel in September last year. The ATO deal follows Datacom contracts in the last 12 months with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and the Department of Immigration & Citizenship.

“We are delighted to have been awarded this work after going through a fiercely competitive process to secure a place on the panel last year, and an extensive process to design a support model that met the ATO’S flexibility requirements,” Datacom Group CEO Jonathan Ladd said in a statement.

In other government news, NEC Australia last week won a three-year contract with the Department of Parliamentary Services to provide managed ICT services and support to 260 electorate offices.
