Huawei Australia has re-signed as the Canberra Raiders’ major sponsor for the 2014 National Rugby League (NRL) season.
The telco signed a two-year deal with the NRL side at the beginning of the 2012 season which, according to some media reports, was worth up to $1.7 million. Huawei had the option of extending the deal until 2014.
At the time, it was the company’s first major sports team sponsorship anywhere in the world.
