In brief: Lakeside Software opens Sydney office

BI software provider looks to further growth in Asia

US-based business intelligence software provider Lakeside Software has opened Australia and New Zealand regional headquarters in Sydney with the intention of growing the business in Asia.

It is planning to hire three sales and partner management staff for the Sydney office with a view to having a team of 10 employees within the next 12 months.

The vendor is considering the establishment of a second office in Japan within the next 12 to 24 months. Lakeside Software works with systems integrators including HP, IBM and Fujitsu who use its SysTrack software for desktop transformation projects.

According to A/NZ managing director Jacob Maurer its products give IT managers data and insights needed to measure the success of their projects.

“The move into Australia and New Zealand is an important strategic decision that will bring us closer to our A/NZ clients and open the gates to a larger regional presence,” he said in a statement.
