Avaya to hire 500 staff in APAC, EMEA

Roles include technology account management, sales and marketing

Avaya is looking to fill 500 internal and external roles in Asia Pacific and Europe, the Middle East and Africa this year.

The roles include technology account management, sales and marketing, research/development and corporate.

An Avaya spokesperson said it could not provide details of specific recruitment numbers by country.

UK-based recruitment firm Futurestep has been hired to manage the vendor’s recruitment strategies for external and internal hires across both regions. It will deploy recruiters in countries including Australia, China and Singapore.

Avaya human resources vice president Steve Fitzgerald said that the company’s talent needs are changing.

“We need a partner to help us build an internal recruitment team with in-country experience, language capacity, and market savvy. Futurestep demonstrated a passion for innovation and a desire to build a global governance model to integrate into our global HR team,” he said in a statement.
