Link Group re-signs with Fujitsu

$80m contract includes system migration

International financial services firm Link Group has signed a new five year managed infrastructure services contract worth $80 million with Fujitsu.

The firm has worked with the vendor for 10 years.

Link Group’s Western Australian business and Melbourne-based superannuation fund Superpartners, acquired in December, will be migrated to Fujitsu’s delivery model, which is currently in place for Link Group’s eastern business.

This includes service desk, service delivery management, end-user services, network management, infrastructure support, data centre and project services. These services will be delivered via a combined on-site, on-shore and offshore model.

In addition, Link Group will migrate Superpartners client funds from a legacy system to a new system called aaspire by December next year. SuperPartners has 6 million members in Australia.

According to Link Group managing director John McMurtrie, it expects to make "significant annual savings" in IT spend.

“We are driving growth, end user productivity and shareholder value while holding sensitive company and financial information as a trusted, cost-effective service provider,” he said.

“We will continue to work with Fujitsu to ensure the highest standards relative to the security of data. With the assurance of predictable IT costs delivered by this new services agreement, Link Group can better plan over the medium term.”
