Axiom snaps up enterprise user satisfaction surveys

Acquisition-hungry marketing services and research company Axiom has acquired vendor satisfaction rating products "The Canberra Report" and "The Corporate Report" from boutique banking and finance research company East and Partners for an undisclosed sum.

Created around a year ago, the surveys confidentially gauge the satisfaction levels of CIOs from the federal government and 500 large enterprises with their vendors.

Computerworld understands that the deal also includes the InterData database business and associated Web sites and publications and that the vendor satisfaction surveys will now be branded as InterData products and that InterData will run as a business unit within the Axiom Group.

InterData CEO James Slack told Computerworld that the acquisition "fits in nicely with Axiom's existing businesses" which include database management, market research, direct marketing management and advertising. Axiom clients include GMH Holden, Novartaris and Syngenta.

Axiom also recently acquired TheFarmshed.com, an agribusiness and portal started by McKinsey, Rural Press and Wesfarmers. The company is privately held in Australia.
