IBM and CorVu sign joint deal

IBM Australia and CorVu have formed an alliance to jointly market and sell best of breed performance and data management solutions. IBM Australia's data management software manager Peter Graham said it will allow companies to stay ahead of the competition by effectively managing strategy execution in critical areas such as e-business, global supply chain, virtual organisations, globalisations and acquisitions. "One of the most important areas in corporate performance management is translating strategy into operational activities, programs and projects," he said.

Inprise is Borland

Inprise Corporation will now be know as Borland (again). All products, including its enterprise applications server products and services will be rebranded. Ray Bradbery, vice president Asia Pacific for Borland, said that the decision to rename enterprise products and services clarified product branding. "We know this decision to rename our enterprise products and services Borland will strengthen our identification within the development community, and further enhance our profile in the application server market."
