IntelliSource Wins ODIN Deal

WASHINGTON (07/10/2000) - NASA on Thursday awarded the latest Outsourcing Desktop Initiative for NASA contract to Intellisource.

The company will provide services for the agency's final four centers to make the transition to outsourcing: Langley Research Center, Glenn Research Center, Dryden Flight Research Center and Ames Research Center.

Science Applications International Corp. will be a subcontractor on 10-year governmentwide hardware, software and services procurement initiative.

The total value of the four delivery orders is estimated at $123.7 million, with options for additional sales, according to a NASA statement.

Services to be provided under ODIN, potentially a $13 billion governmentwide acquisition contract, include comprehensive desktop computer, server, local-area network, telephone, local video, administrative radio, remote communication and public address services.

Intellisource, which was recently acquired by ACS Government Services, already holds the $14 million ODIN contract for Goddard Space Flight Center and has provided similar desktop outsourcing services at Glenn for several years.

SAIC was awarded contracts to provide $11 million in ODIN services at the Health Care Financing Administration and a $20.1 million contract for ODIN at NASA headquarters in Washington. D.C.
