Diveo Opens New Internet Data Center in Mexico

LOS ANGELES (06/29/2000) - Diveo Broadband Networks Inc., a provider of Internet infrastructure and broadband services in Latin America, announced the opening of its Internet Data Center in Mexico City.

Through the Data Center, Washington D.C.-based Diveo will provide Web hosting, data, voice and video services to medium-sized and large businesses, Internet service and content providers, e-commerce providers and systems integrators, the company said Thursday in a press release.

Mexico's new Data Center is located at a facility acquired by Diveo from GTE Corp. Data Services. Diveo already owns Internet Data Centers in Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.

Diveo also provides communication services through fixed wireless and fiber-optic broadband networks, the company said. The firm is currently operating in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, and plans to start operations in South Florida, Panama and Uruguay by the end of this year, according to the press release.
