CSC to tap SME Net market, allay security concerns

CSC Australia is hoping to tap into the small to medium enterprise (SME) market with the launch of an Internet services suite.

The suite is designed to address the Internet security concerns of SMEs, according to CSC officials.

It includes firewall, virtual private network, secure dial in access, remote security monitoring, Web access, corporate e-mail and enterprise virus management.

"Many of our customers today are concerned about the risks involved in opening their businesses to the Internet. Threats to their data, applications, business operations and intellectual property have made them cautious about adopting Internet business strategies" said Paul Copperfield, national manager, Integrated solutions and services group, CSC.
