Boeing snaps up Melbourne IT director

Dr Stephen Gumley has resigned as a non-executive director of Internet domain name supplier Melbourne IT in order to take up his new job as vice president of information services with Boeing in Seattle.

Gumley will be replaced on the board by Dr Mark Toner, who has been CEO of the Australian subsidiary of British engineering and construction group Kvaerner E&C. Toner's qualifications include a BE (Chem) from the University of Melbourne and a PhD from Monash University. He is president elect of the Institution of Chemical Engineers in Australia and president of the Business/Higher Education Round Table.
