Although the National Broadband Network rollout is gathering pace, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission believes it should continue to regulate Telstra’s wholesale ADSL service.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has launched an inquiry into whether its regulation of the wholesale ADSL service delivered by Telstra should continue. The ACCC’s initial declaration of the service was in February 2012 and it is set to expire in February next year.
Telstra has restored ADSL and wireless data services following outages this morning, but is still suffering problems with an array of online applications.
Perth residents have suffered from two separate Internet outages this week.
