Vindaloo Systems has been awarded a multimillion dollar, five-year contract to provide remote management, maintenance support and development to Rexel Australia's internal information technology and database systems.
According to Vindaloo Systems co-founder David Bridgford, this deal will transform Vindaloo, create new jobs at it's Oracle Outsourced Support Service (OS)2 centre and catapult the vendor to the top of its sector.
"It also shows the tide has turned for the Australian IT industry which has lost hundreds of jobs to offshore support centres in China, India and Eastern Europe in recent years," Bridgford said.
Vindaloo Systems will handle the remote management of Oracle application and database environments, Sun Solaris, Windows NT and Veritas Volume Manager Environments at Rexel Australia.
