IBM snares $120 million Korea Air deal

IBM Global Services announced late December a $US120 million outsourcing agreement with Korea Air.

IBM Global Services will provide data center operation services for Korea Air's major computer systems, according to a statement from IBM Global Services.

Through the newly created subsidiary IBM Global Services Korea, IBM also will help Korea Air develop a new information technology infrastructure, according to IBM. Part of that infrastructure will be an internet-enabled global network, it said.

IBM Global Services Korea aims also to work with other Korean customers, according to IBM.
