Fore Systems has extended its desktop and workgroup solutions range to include the ForeRunnerLE 25 ATM workgroup switch and the ForeRunnerLE 25 network interface card (NIC).
Designed to provide bandwidth control, multimedia application support and better investment protection, the solutions are based on ATM standards and support new applications such as voice over IP and video of IP without straining the network.
Grant Morrison, general manager of Fore Systems, Australia and New Zealand said: "Fore is committed to delivering Application Aware networking. This gives administrators the ability to intelligently manage their network bandwidth to existing application requirements."
In related news, PictureTel Australia is Fore Systems' ATM application partner for LiveLan videoconferencing.
