Telstra's IT services business KAZ has announced a five-year, $45 million contract to provide IT infrastructure services to ING Australia.

This deal follows last week's announcement that KAZ had signed a $200 million IT infrastructure Support Services contract with the Department of Defence.

KAZ CEO Mike Foster said he is delighted that ING Australia has appointed KAZ as its major provider of IT services, which includes delivery of all ING Australia's mid-range management and data centre services.

KAZ has managed ING Australia's desktop and e-mail environment since 2002.

The services under the new contract include, management of mid-range server infrastructure systems, storage, operating systems, middleware and database systems. The environment is based on Unix, Windows and MPE application servers, with the applications owned and managed by ING's in-house team.
