Microsoft certified instructor Kalman Toth conducts an interactive multimedia Microsoft SQL Server training course presented on three CDs. The Crash Course for Microsoft SQL Server 2000 course is divided into units that are typically 10 minutes in length and shows how to install and configure an SQL Server.
The course instructs students on how to set up tables, populate them with data, change data in tables, delete rows from tables, and write SQL queries. It also shows how to use transact-SQL built-in functions and create indexes.
Database developments can be mastered as they are run in either Enterpriser Manager or Query Analyser (a programming tool), with voice-over explaination by Toth.
The course provides instruction on how to back up and restore SQL databases, import and export data, use On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) data warehouse basics and implement automated tasks.
The course is aimed at software engineers, IT managers and technical project managers who design, develop, implement and manage Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (or version 7.0) based applications, officials said. It also applies to MCSE and MCDBA candidates, VB, Java, C++, ASP.Net and database developers who need to know more about applying SQL Server 2000 in business environment.
