Construction firm uses new ERP

An Australian construction products fabricator has adopted ERP to handle its manufacturing and sales system.

The company, Australian Construction Products - subsidiary of Southern Steel - services the civil engineering, mining and building industries and has selected an application to replace its manual systems, spreadsheets and performance monitors. Additional modules will be used in purchasing and sales.

"It is therefore critical we have the one system which can manage all the manufacturing-related processes while allowing a flow of information to other offices," the company's general manager Leigh Brown said.

Paul Hargreaves, managing director of application provider Cincom Australia, said ACP is the first subsidiary of Southern Steel to implement the software called Priority.

"We are looking forward to roll out Priority throughout the group as the organization expands," he said.
