Integ recruits Kaz staffer

UXC subsidiary looks to unite its services into a professional end-to-end package

Looking to grow its communications and networking divisions, Integ has hired former Kaz staffer, Ian McPherson, as its professional services manager.

In the newly created role he will be charged with looking after the pre-sales side of the business and providing support for the application and sales teams.

"We are looking to move into a more integrated model and are going to be developing a communications practice which will take in our voice, applications and data network team under one umbrella for the delivery of those services," McPherson said. "At the moment I'm just looking at getting our structure right with a focus on building our end-to-end delivery model, which can streamline our processes and take us from sales through to support. "What we are trying to do is get the company prepared for the next cycle of growth."

McPherson said he would initially focus on developing Integ's portfolio of service offerings around the communications practice model.

"We will start bringing in some new offerings around unified communications, fixed and mobile convergence and that sort of future focused activity, and start building our reputation with system integrators," he said. "It's also all about developing that range of consulting services and getting customer intimacy happening."

McPherson was previously the client delivery manager with the professional services group at Kaz for 18 months. Prior to that, he spent 20 years in the Royal Australian Navy where he finished up as a lieutenant commander.

Integ is a subsidiary of UXC.
