More than 3500 finance and IT executives will arrive on Sydney's shores in 2006 to participate in a financial services convention expected to inject more than $41 million into the state's economy.
Sibos is the annual world forum for the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications supplying products to more than 7000 financial institutions in 196 countries.
Announcing details of the event NSW Premier Bob Carr said almost half the delegates attending Sibos are chief executives, board members or vice presidents of the world's leading financial institutions, providing unique business and profiling opportunities for Australia.
International conferences and exhibitions are worth more than $2.3 billion a year to the state economy.
