Listed Sydney healthcare developer IBA Technologies will supply its hospital management software to the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne under a contract valued at $A1.35 million. The software to be supplied under the five-year deal covers provision of a patient management system, patient billing, reporting to the Commonwealth Health Department, medical records, outpatients, waiting lists and casemix analysis. The system is scheduled to go live in September 2001, when it will replace a legacy system running on Hewlett-Packard's HP3000 platform.
IBA also recently won a $A1.9 million contract to supply software and services involving its Patient Administration System to St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (The Rust Report, Jan 26, 2001). And in October IBA negotiated a contract for the supply of clinical healthcare software to the Australian Defence Force (The Rust Report, October 6, 2000).
