Satyam Computer Services opens development centre in Victoria

Plans to hire 2000 staff in the next three years

The National Association of Software and Service Companies, a trade organization in Delhi, remains positive about the growth of India's outsourcing industry.

The industry is optimistic about achieving its target of US$60 billion in software and services exports by March 2010.

In the Indian fiscal year to March 31, 2008 the industry expects export revenue of $40.3 billion, up 29 percent from export revenue in the previous year.

Satyam delivers consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing solutions to clients in 61 countries.

The company has development centres in the US, Canada, Brazil, the UK, Hungary, Egypt, UAE, India, China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia serving 630 clients, more than one third of the Fortune 500.
