A 37 year-old Sydney man was charged today following a raid by Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command detectives that allegedly netted hundreds of child exploitation images.
According to a statement released by NSW Police, a tip off from Interpol and ongoing inquiries by Eastern Suburbs LAC detectives led to a search warrant being executed at a Bronte townhouse early Wednesday morning.
Several computers and “related equipment” were seized for forensic analysis, with initial examination revealing the alleged child exploitation images.
The man, who resides in Bronte, was charged with possessing child pornography and conditionally bailed to appear in Waverley Local Court next month.
