SAP user group bags new leader

The SAP Australian User Group has appointed Grahame Reynolds from polyethylene manufacturer Qenos as its new chairperson.

The SAP Australian User Group (SAUG) has announced the appointment of Grahame Reynolds as its new chairperson.

Reynolds will replace Ally Thorne after she vacated the top spot in favour of the less demanding role of Treasurer.

Reynolds, a senior business analyst at leading Australian polyethylene manufacturer Qenos, will step into the role of chairperson as the group goes through a critical phase of expansion and evolution.

SAUG is currently in the process of merging with the Business Objects Australasian User Group (BOAUG).

"The next 12 months will be a period of strong growth as we join BOAUG with the SAUG and seek to expand the reach of SAUG within both the SAP and Business Objects community," said Reynolds.

"The BOAUG merger will add a new dimension to the SAP user community in Australia and will be of mutual benefit to members of both groups."

At Qenos, which provides chemicals used in the manufacture of plastic bags, Reynolds has overseen SAP upgrades, and the introduction of SAP Product Costing, SAP Business Intelligence (BI) 7.0 and SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.0.
