Founder's departure brings changes at Davnet

Stephen Moignard has stood down as CEO and managing director of Davnet, the company he founded to wire "smart buildings". Moignard had telegraphed his intentions by selling down his stake in the company and although the stated reason for his departure is "to pursue other business interests", he will remain on the Davnet board and will continue to be the largest individual shareholder in the company.

Moignard has been replaced as CEO and managing director by Robert Turner, who is currently group COO and executive director. He joined Davnet in May 2000 and for a time worked with Moignard in the office of the CEO. Turner began his career in the telecommunications industry with AT&T in 1977 and joined Davnet from New World Telephone in Hong Kong.

To fill Turner's seat Davnet has promoted Bob Henson, another former AT&T employee. Henson joined Davnet about a year ago from his own firm, Eagle One & Associates, which provided strategic planning and operations services for start-ups in the wireless and advanced technology arenas.
