ATO releases second tender seeking mainframe developers

Successful candidates will be offered a 12-month contract, based in Canberra

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has released a second tender seeking mainframe developers and technical specialists for its Enterprise Applications team, on the back of another put out in June.

Successful candidates will be offered a 12-month contract, based in Canberra from mid-September, with the option of an extension of the same length.

According to the tender documents, applicants must have highly developed skills in TELON, COBOL and Cool:Gen languages, and experience in “large scale development application and maintenance covering both batch and online in a CICS DB2 mainframe environment using large data holdings”.

The positions require a highly protected security clearance or the ability to attain one. The tender closes on August 11.
