Gates quits "irritating" Facebook

Overcome with friend requests, Gates gives up on social networking

Microsoft co-founder and chairman Bill Gates has admitted he tried using social networking site Facebook, but found it irritating as he was overcome with friend requests.

Gates travelled to India last week to receive the Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development for his charity work through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

“I get 10,000 friend requests everyday. It gets so irritating,” Gates said at a business forum in New Dehli, according to MSN India.

"It was just way too much trouble so I gave it up."

Gates also criticised US immigration policies, saying the US Government was too tough on immigration.
