Systems integrators broaden horizons with SkyNetGlobal

Broadband wireless service operator SkyNetGlobal has formed alliances with two IT systems integrators and network specialists Professional Advantage and Allied Technology, which will market SkyNetGlobal's wireless network solutions to their customers.

Professional Advantage is a certified integrator for Oracle while Allied Technologies (formed in 1994 by the merging of Allied Systems and Allied-ifs) has alliances with hardware vendors like Cisco Systems, Cabletron, 3Com and Nortel Networks.

"For computer manufacturers, network vendors, IT integrators and companies that constantly deal with corporate information technology purchasers, there is no better way to gain competitive advantage than by leveraging on SkyNetGlobal's broadband wireless network," claimed Jonathan Soon, CEO.

He claimed that by creating a network outside the office, SkyNetGlobal was able to add distinctive offerings to the portfolios of systems integrators. "SkyNetGlobal is offering a unique value proposition to IT and systems integrators, allowing them to offer customers an end-to-end solution so that employees can roam wirelessly from the office network to a remote network using the same technology platform," Soon explained.

SkyNetGlobal has also set up a subsidiary in Singapore through which it will roll out its services through the Asia/Pacific region. The new office is managed by Victor Soh, who joined the company from Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, where he was head of corporate finance. "Mr Soh has already established SkyNetGlobal's office in Singapore and we have commenced discussions with a range of potential strategic partners," Soon said.
