In Brief: Australia Council to refresh deskop PCs

Up to 150 Acer machines to be ripped and replaced

The Australia Council is to rip and replace its current Acer desktop fleet in a major hardware leasing refresh.

According to tender documents, the Council will lease or finance 140 to 150 new PCs with a four-year next business-day on-site warranty with option to extend for a fifth year

The existing machines are used for general business applications at the Council. The new fleet will be licensed for Microsoft Windows XP Pro and Windows 7 Pro.

The Australia Council is the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body and support the arts through funding, strengthening and developing the arts sector.
