MS Fixes 300-Plus Bugs with Office 2000 Update

FRAMINGHAM (03/23/2000) - Microsoft Corp. has shipped the first major update to Office 2000 since the suite shipped last year.

The company announced Office 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1) this week at its Office Deployment and Development Conference in Phoenix. The new software fixes some 328 official bugs in the suite, ranging from memory errors in Microsoft Access forms and Excel spreadsheets to glitches with Windows 2000.

Office 2000 owners can download SR-1 at the Microsoft Web site -- http://www.microsoft.com/.. It can also be ordered on CD-ROM.
