Eight members of the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) have been nominated for the 14th Annual Webby Awards.
AIMIA Victoria President and Webby Awards Ambassador to Australia, Simon Goodrich, said the nominations reflected the depth of the international impact the Australian industry has made.
"That eight AIMIA member companies have been nominated demonstrates the depth of the Australian digital industry and its ability to compete on an international scale,” he said in a statement.
The annual Webby Awards is presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences and recognises excellence on the Internet.
Winners for each category are selected via votes from the online community.
AIMIA CEO John Butterworth said the number of Australians being nominated at the Webby Awards was on the rise.
“AIMIA members are not just leaders in our own market, but they’re now taking on the world in the digital industry," he said.
“Every year, more and more Aussie digital companies are taking their products and services to the world and these nominations reflect the level of talent we have in this country.”
