LG working on Google Android tablet

Slate PC could hit shops by end of 2010

LG is working on a tablet PC that will run Google Android.

While the company, which is the second-largest electronics firm in South Korea, didn't offer any pricing or specification details, it did say the tablet would be made available before the end of the year.

It is thought the tablet will be LG's assault on Apple's iPad, which has proved extremely successful, selling three million devices in the three months since it was officially launched.

Could LG's forthcoming Android tablet rival Apple's iPad?

LG is already working on a tablet PC that runs Microsoft Windows. The 10in UX10 features Windows 7 as well as a 1.3MP camera and HDMI port.
