Man makes life-sized R2-D2 replica, takes it for a spin

The coolest thing about robot is that little kids run away from it, and seems to compel dogs to follow you

Just when you thought Star Wars robots and figurines couldn't get any better, they did. One man built the ultimate accessory for any Star Wars fan: A life-sized, fully controllable R2-D2 replica. And, oh yes, you can hop in and drive it.

According to LikeCool, the body of the R2-D2 replica is made from a plastic drum, as well as LEDs, internal fans and various motors wired in. It can move, go in circles, shake its head and make authentic noises. Combine this with the detailed exterior, and you have the coolest homemade robot ever. We're not sure how comfortable it is to sit inside, but it's obviously worth the discomfort.

The coolest thing about robot is that little kids run away from it, and seems to compel dogs to follow you. Can you imagine rolling down the street in a full size R2-D2? One thing's for sure, this guy needs to showcase it at future Star Wars conventions and Geekups.
