Adairs on the lookout for national IT manager

The Aussie homewares company is planning the implementation of a new ERP system

Australian homewares retailer Adairs is on the hunt for a national IT manager to assist in the implementation of strategies for expansion within the retail sector as the company plans for a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

The role, advertised on recruitment website Seek, is aiming to “identify and deliver profitable outcomes for the business through ensuring stable and functioning computer systems and providing timely and complete support to our internal and external customers”.

The new IT manager will report to the chief financial officer (CFO) and will be responsible for ensuring the IT strategy is aligned with the company’s business plan as well as influencing stakeholders while supporting the brand’s IT requirements.

The IT manager will also manage and coach the team to ensure customer service and head up new initiatives through IT to strengthen the business.

The successful candidate will have experience as a team leader, an understanding of technology, project management experience, a technical background and a high level of infrastructure knowledge.

“With plans to source the most appropriate ERP system to meet the foreseeable future business needs, it will be your IT Strategy, IT Architecture and Project Management skills that will be in demand,” the advertisement reads.

The role will also require a risk management approach with the ability to foresee future obstacles.
