Internet service provider Internode today launched the Huawei E5832 mobile broadband modem. The E5832 can distribute a 3G connection to up to three devices over Wi-Fi.
The new mobile broadband modem replaces the MiFi 2352 previously offered by the ISP. It offers 802.11b/g wireless networking (at up to 15 metres) and HSPDA connectivity over the 900MHz and 2100MHz bands at speeds of up to 7.2 megabits per second (downlink).
The device uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can be charged over USB or with the included AC adapter.
The Huawei E5832 can be purchased outright for $149 or for $49 when bundled with a 24-month Internode mobile broadband plan.
