HTC has launched its dual-core Android-based Sensation smartphone on Telstra's Next G network.
The HTC Sensation has 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen; the same size as the well-received HTC Desire HD. The 'qHD' screen has a 540x960-pixel resolution; equivalent to a quarter of a Full HD 1080p display.
The handset is equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and runs the Gingerbread version of Google's Android OS.
The Sensation comes with 'TelstraOne' installed: A custom application that integrates weather, news and sports streams
HTC country manager, Ben Hodgson, described the Sensation as “the ultimate multimedia smartphone".
“With its premium industrial design, look and feel, an immersive, richer movie watching and music listening experience by virtue of its true widescreen and virtual surround sound capabilities.”
