Internet service provider, iiNet, has unveiled its consumer National Broadband Network (NBN) offerings. The ISP will offers three plans with different data quotas, ranging from the entry-level, $49.95 plan with 40GB per month (20GB on-peak, 20 GB off) to one terabyte.
The base level plans offer 12 megabits per second downloads and 1Mbps uploads. However, customers can select 'Turbo pack' options for an additional fee to boost speeds, up to a maximum 100/40Mbps. Both uploads and downloads are counted towards customers' data quota.
Internode is also offering similarly tiered plans for businesses (with the addition of a static IP and additional support).
"iiNet is particularly excited that the roll-out of NBN is focused on regions traditionally burdened with slower speeds and higher prices," iiNet CEO, Michael Malone, said in a statement.
"Without the need for a fixed phone line, the customers on our most popular ADSL1 plan can move to NBN speeds and enjoy 10 times the quota for the same price they’re paying now."
Rival ISPs Exetel and Internode have also revealed their NBN pricing.
